Thierry Henry Not Ready to Give Into The Temptation

Thierry Henry, a legend of the famous Arsenal team of old, has claimed he won’t be tempted by his team’s strong start to the year.

When assessing Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League title this year, Henry made this statement.

The former striker claimed that despite winning the Premier League, Arsenal only had hope at the time. He also stated that Mikel Arteta’s team should take note from Liverpool’s recent failure to keep up with Man City.

The Frenchman declared that he will hold off on celebrating until all 38 Premier League games have been completed.

“It’s 11 games, you celebrate the title after 38 games, not before that,” Henry told CBS Sports.

“That is me, I have always had that mentality. What we are talking about right now with Arsenal is hope.

“Manchester City can talk, Man City can be loud because we have seen it before with them and we know what it takes for a team to stay with them.

“Look at Liverpool… twice they tried to maintain the rhythm of Man City but could not do it. So, let’s see what’s going to happen to us.

“I won’t get carried away. But we have hope and I have a lot of hope at the minute.”

Currently, Arsenal is two points ahead of Manchester City in second place in the Premier League standings.

After their subsequent Europa League match against PSV on Thursday night, the Gunners will play Nottingham Forest in their subsequent Premier League match on Sunday.

Of course, we all know deep down in Thierry Henry he is thinking about the possibility of his former side winning the Premier League against favorites, Manchester City come May.

But after being broken hearted from last season’s performances that saw Arsenal finish 5th as opposed to Champions League places, he wants to keep temptation off his mind for an open mind.
