They threatened to shoot – Actor, Salami Rotimi narrates his ordeal with Gunmen in Lagos traffic
Popular Nollywood actor, Salami Rotimi cries out as robbers attacked him during heavy traffic, damaged his car, and hijacked his mobile phone.
Rotimi Salami is a Nollywood Yoruba actor, model, movie producer, scriptwriter, MC, and entrepreneur. Rotimi Salami won the best supporting actor (AMVCA 2017). The actor took to his Instagram page and narrated the unpleasant incident and posted a video showing the damage done to his car by the attackers.
“Guys, I just got robbed like an hour ago, I just got robbed along Mile 2,” the actor said in the video.
Salami however explained that while he was not hurt, his car suffered damages and his phone was hijacked. He also explained that his car was caught between trailers in the standstill traffic when he was attacked.
“I am not hurt. In between trailers in a standstill traffic… 4 very young boys showed up from nowhere, Broke my car glass with gun when I refused to whine down. Threatening to shoot if I and my kid brother don’t drop our phones.. Thank God I was sluggish to drop both phones, I gave one and while I was trying to disconnect the other and give to them, people showed up and chased them but they flee with 2 standby bikes parked on the other side of the road.
