They Starved Nnamdi Kanu for 9 Days—Lawyer reveals

A torn on the side of the federal government in his quest for the restoration of the Biafra republic, Nnamdi Kanu in a new report had to endure some troubles on his end during his detention in the DSS custody.

The Department of State Services (DSS), according to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), via a statement released by his lawyer on Thursday, alleged that he was denied access to food and his medical prescriptions for nine days.

After their normal encounter at the DSS facility, Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, revealed this.

Aloy Ejimakor released a tweet that reads:

“Special Update: Today, I visited #MNK in the company of Prince Emma Kanu & Barr. Nnaemeka Ejiofor.

“He instructed me to make it public that he has not been given his drugs for the past 9 days & he has not eaten today because DSS says that they don’t have money to buy his food. #Sad.”

According to Ejimakor, the legal team chose to pay the DSS money so they could get access to buy food for Nnamdi Kanu.

“We have decided to take money to them as a deposit for his food. They won’t allow food brought by others, including family,” the lawyer was quoted saying.
