They bully our kids in school -- Ronaldo's girlfriend reveals

Georgina Rodriguez, Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend, has opened up about her children’s experiences in their new life in Saudi Arabia, revealing that they have been subjected to physical abuse by other children at school.

Ronaldo left Manchester United in November to join the Saudi Professional League club, Al-Nassr. Speaking to Telemundo, Rodriguez explained that her children have been struggling with their new life in the Arab country and have been bullied at school.

“At school there are times when they get hit and they don’t defend themselves and they sink,” she said. “The other day one of my children who had been hit, I received him and he started crying, ‘Mom!’ And I thought he had cut a hand.”

She continued, “I tell him what’s wrong with you, what’s wrong with you ‘A child hit me’, and I tell him: ‘Well, and you don’t know how to defend yourself with what you warm up at home?'”

Cristiano Ronaldo, a father of five, has been playing football for over two decades, with stints at Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and now Al-Nassr. Ronaldo’s girlfriend has her comments shedding light on the challenges faced by children of expatriates in foreign countries.

The issue of bullying in schools is a prevalent problem worldwide and can have lasting psychological effects on children. It is important for schools to have policies in place to prevent and address bullying and for parents to educate their children on how to handle such situations.

As Ronaldo’s family continues to adjust to their new life in Saudi Arabia, it remains to be seen how they will navigate this challenge and find a way to ensure their children’s safety and wellbeing.
