Renowned Nollywood actor Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, popularly known as Kanayo O Kanayo, has expressed profound sorrow over the recent passing of his close friend and colleague, Amaechi Muonagor, over the weekend.

Taking to Instagram, Kanayo O Kanayo confirmed the heartbreaking news of Amaechi’s demise by sharing a poignant photo of the departed and accompanying it with a heartfelt tribute, reminiscing about their shared experiences.

In his tribute, the seasoned actor fondly recalled moments spent together, particularly highlighting Amaechi’s remarkable talent for acrobatics despite his age and physique.

Kanayo O Kanayo admitted to feeling a sense of trepidation whenever Amaechi Muonagor performed his acrobatic somersaults, yet marveled at the skill and agility displayed by his late friend.

Reflecting on their collaborations on set, Kanayo O Kanayo praised Amaechi’s dedication to preserving Igbo culture through his performances, emphasizing the lively atmosphere he brought to their work.

In his farewell message, Kanayo O Kanayo extended his wishes for Amaechi to rest peacefully, acknowledging that the timing of his departure was known only to God.

“Iyi, I was always afraid whenever you did your acrobatic somersault. It was indeed outstanding despite your weight. You would always say, Nwokem, o taa, meaning, you grew up doing it,” wrote Kanayo O Kanayo in his Instagram post.
