The lawyer to late singer Osinachi’s husband, Peter Nwachukwu has voiced out over claims that his client killed his wife.

Recall, Nwachukwu’s wife Osinachi died on April 8 and many of her colleagues and family accused Peter of subjecting his wife to domestic violence, leading to her death.

However, Victor O. Abakpa, the Council for Peter Nwachukwu has reacted to such accusations about his client.

The lawyer submitted that the world will soon know the truth about Osinachi’s death.

TopNaija understands that he stated this on Friday, June 3 after the Federal Capital Territory High Court adjourned the trial of the suspect who was arraigned on 23 count charges bordering on domestic violence and homicide to June 16 and 17 for trial.

Justice N.K. Nwosu-Iheme, also ordered that he be remanded at the Kuje Correctional Facility.

Victor said since his client has pleaded not guilty, the world will soon find out the truth.

Surely justice will prevail, the world will come to know the truth. We cannot say more than that.

“You heard he pleaded not guilty, that’s our position for now until the case is proved otherwise,” the lawyer stated.

The suspect, who was handcuffed after the court rose, pleaded with the press that his wife died of cancer, thereby debunking his in-laws’ statement.
