The truth about Nollywood actress, Doris Chima’s death

Nollywood actress, Doris Chima has been reported dead as a result of breast cancer which she has been battling since last year.

The actress was diagnosed with the ailment in 2020 which led to her breast being cut off to prevent further damage. She was a member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and former vice-chairperson of Lagos AGN.

The chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Lagos state chapter, Emeka Rising Ibe, however, confirmed the news as he claimed to still be in shock over the sad incident. He addressed her as a dedicated member and good woman.

In his words,

“She called me last week and pleaded due to ill health not to remove her from the verification exercise I embarked on to ascertain true members of the guild in Lagos.. “Yesterday morning, I got a call that she was dead. Though I am yet to visit the family, it is a great loss for us. I pray for the repose of her soul.”

Although her family is yet to release an official statement on her death, well-wishers and loved ones have sent out prayers and consolation messages.
