Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has showered praise on assistant manager Pep Lijnders, as the 41-year-old prepares to leave the club at the end of the season.
Klopp acknowledged Lijnders’ significant impact on Liverpool’s successes during his tenure and expressed confidence in his readiness to take on a managerial role.
In a statement regarding Lijnders’ departure, Klopp remarked,
“Pep especially is ready – ready to manage a football team, and he wants to do that as well, so that’s great, together with Vitor.”
Klopp emphasized the importance of making a proper change, and he believes that Lijnders is prepared for the challenges that lie ahead in his managerial career.
