“Nothing less” — Mohamed Salah gets cryptic on social media
Salah met Wenger during a visit the Frenchman made to Liverpool’s training ground, Melwood, and took the opportunity to ask the legend a question that had been on his mind. “I asked him, ‘What’s the difference between a good player and a really good player?’”
Wenger’s response would prove to be career-defining: “A very, very good player is always focused on the game, even when he doesn’t have momentum. He stays locked in until the final whistle.”
For Salah, this insight was a game-changer. “There are games where I don’t feel I have momentum, but I remember Wenger’s words. I stay focused on the game, ready to finish the job.”
