“The first time I experienced poverty was when I married my ex-husband” – Iyabo Ojo (Video)
Popular Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo has narrated how she, for the first time in her life, had a taste of what it means to to be poor, no thanks to her former husband, Mr. Ademidun Ojo.
According to her, she met with Mr. Ojo years back when she was inexperienced about life generally, as she was swayed by the man’s fake lifestyle.
She made this known while speaking in the interview, Toke Moments, with the TV personality Toke Makinwa.
Speaking further, she claimed to have found out during courtship that the former husband was staying in a ‘Face-me-I-slap-you” house, despite how he displayed his lifestyle.
Iyabo Ojo said that it was at this period that she discovered what it meant to be poor, since she had previously lived in luxury her whole life.
She remembered having up to N100,000 as long back as 1996, thus she was never destitute.
However, she never received the attention she desired, and her ex-husband had given her this attention in order for her to like him.
