The Dance Ends For Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United

“Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect. The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford,” it read.

This comes after Ronaldo’s shocking conversation with Piers Morgan.

The 37-year-contract old’s was terminated by the Red Devils seven months early.

Additionally, they won’t pay the £16 million that Ronaldo would have made by June 2023.

Ronaldo’s criticism of the club’s US owners, manager Erik ten Hag, the club’s facilities, his colleagues, and former Red Devils players like Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville led United to feel that he had broken the terms of his contract.

On the matter, Cristiano Ronaldo released his own statement confirming the situation on his social media handles, writing to fans:

“Following talks with Manchester United, we have mutually agreed to end our contract with immediate effect. I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never ever change.

“However, it feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge for my career. I wish Manchester United every success for the remainder of the season and for the future”.

It’s a sad ending for fans of the player and the club as the Portuguese departs a club its fans hold him in high regards in a rather distasteful manner.

Interests will turn to Cristiano Ronaldo and his next club post his Manchester United career.
