The high profile case of disgraced Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari that took Nigeria and by extension the world by storm, is about to be concluded.

A Federal High Court in Abuja has been reported to have scheduled judgment on the case for August 29 in the extradition proceedings.

Justice Inyang Ekwo, the Judge presiding over the case announced its date on Friday after lawyers had made their final submissions to the court.

The lawyer to Mr. Kyari, Nureini Jimoh (SAN) faulted the extradition application that was filed by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and requested the court reviewed it.

However the lawyer representing the AGF, Pius Akutah argued against it, insisting the AGF had every necessary documents and requirements for the extradition process complied.

Akutah asked the court to allow the application and order the AGF to surrender Kyari as requested by the United States (US).

In the on-going case, the United States had requested the Nigerian authorities surrender Kyari for his alleged links with international criminal, Abbas Ramon popularly known as Hushpuppi.
