Tesla cars can be bought with Bitcoin, Elon Musk declares
The Business magnate and Chief Executive Officer of Tesla, Elon Musk, on Wednesday, disclosed that Tesla cars can now be bought with the world’s most trendy cryptocurrency, Bitcoin.
Musk declared this in a sequence of tweets posted on his official Twitter handle.
“You can now buy a Tesla with Bitcoin,” he tweeted.
He further said that, “Pay by Bitcoin capability available outside the US later this year.

“Tesla is using only internal & open source software & operates Bitcoin nodes directly. Bitcoin paid to Tesla will be retained as Bitcoin, not converted to fiat currency.”

These tweets by Musk have sent the price of the world’s most famous cryptocurrency increasing.
A month ago, Tesla invested $1.5 billion in the virtual unit, while CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey and rap magnate Jay-Z declared that they are creating a fund with the objective to make Bitcoin “the internet’s currency”.
Others getting on board include Wall Street player BNY Mellon, investment fund giant BlackRock, and credit card titan Mastercard.
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency invented in 2008 by an unknown person or group of people using the name Satoshi Nakamoto. The currency began use in 2009 when its implementation was released as open-source software.
According to Forbes, Musk is working to change transportation both on Earth, through Tesla as well as in space, through rocket producer SpaceX.
On Tuesday, a week ago, Tesla gave him a new title, Technoking.
The Chief Financial Officer of Tesla, Zach Kirkhorn was also given the title “Master of Coin,” Tesla declared this on Monday in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
