Team Nigeria arrives in Paris for 2024 paralympic games
The 2024 Paralympic Games’ Nigerian contingent has arrived at the games village in Paris, following weeks of training in Germany. The 35-member team, including 23 athletes, seven coaches, and five medical staff, reached the village on Thursday.
Suleiman Isah, Secretary General of the Paralympic Committee of Nigeria (PCN), confirmed that the team was received by PCN President, Sunday Odebode.
Isah expressed optimism as the athletes began their training on Friday.

Head Coach Nasiru Sule reported that the team is in high spirits and well-prepared after a two-week training camp in Germany.
Sule, a former Paralympic bronze medalist in table tennis, praised the athletes’ determination and the PCN’s meticulous planning. He remains confident that Nigeria will return with medals, though he did not specify the number or type.
Team Nigeria secured ten medals at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
For the 2024 Paralympic Games, Luritta Onye has been named Flag Bearer, Folashade Olufemi-Ayo as Team Captain, Mariam Wophil as Chaperon, and Prof. Bola Florence Adeyanju as General Chaperon.
