The Otedola Bridge has infamous over time for road crashes mostly involving fuel-laden tankers and trucks that often explode, resulting in inferno, burnt vehicles, loss of lives and properties.

The frequency of fatal accidents around the bridge has made many road users believe superstitiously that there are demons at work around the bridge.

However, the FRSC debunked such, saying accidents on the bridge are caused by reckless drivers who drive expired trucks, not demons, witches or wizards.

Stakeholders have also advised road users to exercise maximum caution when passing through the Otedola bridge, saying it has a construction problem.
