Talks about Liverpool selling Salah, rubbish—Liverpool Legend

It isn’t a transfer window if rumors or speculations aren’t floating the internet space, and ever since Sadio Mane left for Bayern, star man, Mohamed Salah has been the topic of a shock move.

This comes despite the fact that the Egyptian winger has repeatedly claimed he intends to stay at Liverpool, if not for much longer, for atleast one more season.

But then, the media would always want to look for straws to sip on the juicy news that may or may not be there.

And now, Liverpool legend, Steve Nicol has come into the picture to rubbish the claims that the Anfield club is interested in selling Salah.

The report even has the club placing on the winger a price tag of 60 million Euros, with Real Madrid interested.

Steve Nicol speaking with ESPN, rubbished such reports.

He added that ‘someone is on the wind-up’, clarifying that there is no way Liverpool would be crazy to allow both Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, to leave in the same window.

The mot from the flame starts from the fact that both African players have 12 months before their contracts expire, with Liverpool choosing to let Mane go, speculators are of the opinion that Liverpool will choose to cash in on the Egyptian like they did Sadio.

Either way, when Nicol was informed about the latest Salah transfer rumors, he had this to say:

“I would love to know, who comes up with this rubbish?

“Seriously! Salah has already said ‘I am staying’. Liverpool have just let Mane go.

“Do you think they are going to let Salah go and then go to Real Madrid? Not a chance. Somebody is on the wind-up here. It’s not happening.

“I am certain. What club in their right mind lets Mane go and then lets Salah go as well? Sometimes I just think the things that come out are just rubbish. I think this is rubbish. It makes no sense.”

Well, considering it’s the transfer window and crazier things have happened on deadline day, it’s probably too early to say, as Mohamed Salah could possibly wake up 2 days to the window closing and decide he wants out of Liverpool ASAP.
