Suspended Ondo PDP Chairman Fatai Adams is dead

Regrettably, Mr Fatai Adams, the Chairman of the Ondo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has passed away.

According to reports, the party boss passed away in the early hours of Wednesday.

On Wednesday morning, Mr. Kennedy Peretei, the Ondo PDP Publicity Secretary, confirmed the development.

He mentioned that the party would be providing official communication to the media regarding the matter on a later date.

“Yes it is true but we will soon communicate to you properly on the incident,” Peretei said.

Fatai Adams was suspended on January 2 by PDP executive officers due to alleged anti-party activities.

He faced allegations of participating in actions that could harm the party’s reputation.

It was reported that the former PDP chairman was quickly taken to the hospital, where he passed away.

The State Working Committee officially ratified his suspension on January 4.

The suspension was announced by the State Working Committee of the PDP in Ondo State on January 2, 2024, and was ratified two days later.

Adams was accused of engaging in activities that could bring the party to disrepute. The party gave him one week to appear before the party’s State Disciplinary Committee for further interrogation

He passed away 43 days after he was suspended from the party.
