Napoli is currently under investigation for the transfer of Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen.
Football Italia, and others reported that the police raided Napoli and Lille offices in Naples, Rome, and France.
This was reportedly part of the investigation.
Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is also under investigation for possible fraud in the transfer.
French media outlet, L’Equipe revealed that Lille got just €36m, not €81m, as widely announced.
It was the most expensive deal in Lille’s history, making Osimhen the most expensive African footballer ever.
The deal remains controversial as the official €70m transfer plus €10m in bonuses fee was only about €50m in cash.
Goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis and youth team players Luigi Liguori, Claudio Manzi and Ciro Palmieri balanced the €20m left.
Afterwards, the value of Liguori, Manzi and Palmieri immediately inflated alarmingly on the transfer market.
More controversy grew as the three players never got to wear the Lille jersey.
The players were immediately loaned out to Serie C sides and their contracts simply terminated a year later free of charge.
They complained to the media and claimed to have been used as pawns in the larger transaction.
