Nigeria has crashed out of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. The Super Eagles suffered a 2-1 defeat from the Desert Foxes of Algeria. The semi-final match which held at the Cairo International stadium on Sunday July 14th  had Nigeria leave AFCON after their most impressive performance since winning the tournament in 2013. The Algerians got there last minute push to the semi-final after Riyad Mahrez  scored a free kick awarded to him.

The Super Eagles will now play for third place against Tunisia on Wednesday July 17th.
