Strike: OAU students vacate hostels

Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, has directed all students to leave their halls of residence till further notice.

This is according to a statement signed by the Dean, Division of Student Affairs, Prof. I.O. Aransi, on May 10, 2022.

The school management gave Friday, May 13 as the deadline for students to comply with the directive.

Part of the statement read, “To this end, all undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Halls of Residence are directed to vacate their respective hostels and go home till further notice.

“It is our hope that issues necessitating the strike action will be resolved as soon as possible.

“The University Management and the Division of Student Affairs wish all students a safe journey to their respective destinations.”
