My full name is Daryl Chinonso Ariaga Popularly known as The Ryl. I’m from the Eastern part of Nigeria, Imo state.
The song “freedom” is a very special and personal one for me. This is actually my debut single and I wrote this when I was in a dark point of my life, faced off with a couple of things and just thought to break free from everything I thought was holding me back from being who I was supposed to be and just rising to the pinnacle of my potentially which I think a wide range of people could relate to. It was birthed from a swing of pain and different emotions floating through my soul and just like the universe talking to me.
You know, I remember just sitting down and reminiscing about everything and just saying, man, I just want to be free, and that was it, it stuck and the rest just came in organically and is all history.
