Sterling One Foundation, United Nations Nigeria announce Africa Social Impact Summit 2024

Sterling One Foundation and United Nations Nigeria have announced the Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS 3.0) 2024, which will take place on July 25-26 at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos.

This year’s summit, themed “Reimagining Progress: A New Blueprint for Sustainable Growth in Africa,” aims to drive innovative, market-led solutions to Africa’s developmental challenges.

The press conference, held on July 9th at Lagos Oriental Hotel, featured key stakeholders including Olapeju Ibekwe, CEO of Sterling One Foundation; Mohamed M. Malick Fall, UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria; Abubakar Sulieman, MD/CEO of Sterling Bank, and other notable leaders.

Ibekwe highlighted the summit’s goals to foster effective partnerships across sectors, advocate for impactful policies, and attract investments in healthcare, education, and climate action. The 2023 saw major investments, including the MTN Foundation’s N3 billion support for primary healthcare centres.

In his remarks, Malick Fall emphasized the urgency of accelerating efforts to achieve the SDGs by 2030, while Abubakar Sulieman reiterated the importance of collaborative efforts in driving social impact across Africa.
