Stephanie Otobo has filed a $5 million lawsuit against Apostle Johnson Suleman in a Canadian court.

According to the court documents obtained by Sahara Reporters, Otobo is claiming damages resulting from breach of trust, breach of fudiciary relations, breach of contract, negligence, defamation, and poisoning.

Others are intentional and negligent infliction of emotional stress, forcible confinement, multiple instances of battery, false imprisonment, fraud, assaults, sexual assaults, sexual harassment, harassments and malicious prosecution.

A letter dated April 19, 2017 was signed by registrar of the Ontario superior court and addressed to Suleman’s residence in Ontario.

The suit is also seeking an order restraining Suleman from making any form of communication with Otobo while in Canada.

Otobo who recently left Nigeria for Canada had alleged that she had an affair with the cleric, claiming that he got her pregnant and subsequently gave her a concoction to drink to terminate the pregnancy.

She also claimed that Suleman promised to marry and even met with members of her family.

The cleric has since denied her allegations and has taken legal action against her.

Otobo was arrested on March 17, and was charged to court.

Before leaving Nigeria, she was arraigned before a Tinubu magistrate’s court in Lagos.

Otobo and her alleged co-conspirator Wisdom Godstime were arraigned for intent to steal and blackmail Suleman.

The accused persons were charged with three counts of conspiracy, blackmail and threat to life.

But the singer maintains that the claims she made against Suleman were true and recently shared details of alleged monies transferred to her by the general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries.

Suleman has 40 days to serve and file his statement of defense, based on Canadian law.
