Spokesman Says The Palace Is Not Aware Of Ooni’s Separation With Olori Naomi
The palace is yet to be formally notified of Prophetess Naomi Silekunola’s separation from the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, it was learnt on Thursday.
A spokesman, Moses Olafare, said the palace had not yet been informed of Naomi decision as she had announced that she no longer wanted to be addressed as the Queen of Ile-Ife.
“The palace is not aware of the decision of Olori,” he told The Nation
“Kabiyesi has not briefed me on the matter but I will get back to you soon.” He said.
The Ooni of Ile-Ife (Ọọ̀ni of Ilè-Ifẹ̀) is the traditional ruler of Ile-Ife and the spiritual head of the Yoruba people.
