President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered security and intelligence agencies to speed up their moves to rescue the 200 children abducted from an Islamic School in Niger State.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, announced this on Monday in a statement entitled, ‘Expedite action towards release of school children, President Buhari urges law enforcement officials.’

In accordance with the statement, President Buhari, who had been briefed on the latest incident of school kidnapping, criticised the act, depicting it as “unfortunate.”

The President, thus, instructed all the security agencies involved in the rescue operation to do their utmost in securing their speedy release.

Buhari also ordered the concerned government agencies to stretch out probable help to the families of the children kidnapped.
