Speculations surround Mohamed Salah as old Liverpool tweet surfaces
Speculation over Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool has surged once again as his agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, dropped hints suggesting the star player might depart from the Premier League club.
Salah, currently representing Egypt in preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, has been at the center of ongoing discussions regarding his tenure at Anfield.
Rumors intensified following revelations that last summer, Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad came close to securing Salah. Allegedly, they proposed a staggering package totaling £215 million. However, the proposed transfer ultimately collapsed.
At 31 years old, Salah’s contract with Liverpool runs until June 2025, potentially leaving the club susceptible to offers for the revered forward.
Issa recently responded to a tweet from Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna dating back to March 2023.
The tweet indicated that Salah was “open” to departing Liverpool that summer and favored a move to Spain. Issa’s cryptic reply, made over eight months later, read, “You just don’t know.”
The enigmatic comment has fueled further speculation about Salah’s intentions and future plans, leaving fans and pundits eagerly anticipating developments regarding his next career move.
Currently there are rumors circulating that Mohamed Salah is contemplating a contract extension at the club despite interests from the Saudi Pro League.
