Sowore declares continuation of EndBadGovernance protest
Rights activist Omoyele Sowore has announced that the EndBadGovernance protest will continue on Monday, following a weekend of nationwide demonstrations against hardship and suffering in Nigeria.
Nigerians have been protesting since last Thursday in a movement dubbed EndBadGovernance, which is set to last for 10 days.
The initial days of the EndBadGovernance protest saw violent clashes in some northern states, with security forces using tear gas to disperse protesters in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, and Kaduna.
Sowore has now called for protesters to gather at Ojota before proceeding to the Lagos State Secretariat in Alausa on Monday.
In a post on X, Sowore wrote: “Please be aware that the #EndBadGovernancelnNigeria action will resume fully tomorrow across Nigeria and in several parts of Lagos—Lekki Toll Gate, Alausa Secretariat, former Lagos Toll Gate, Ketu, LASU Gate, Abule Egba, FESTAC Town, and several other centres.

As the protests continue, Nigerians are urging President Bola Tinubu to address the nation and respond to the demands of the demonstrators.
