Soldiers rounds up 150 political thugs in Ekiti ahead of guber primaries
About 150 political thugs have been arrested by men of the 32 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Akure, Ondo State.
The thugs were reportedly arrested in the early hours of Wednesday around 3:00 am at Ita Awure/Efon Junction, Efon Alaaye in Ekiti State.
The political thugs were reportedly heading towards Ado Ekiti for the primaries of some of the political parties ahead of the forthcoming state governorship election, holding on Wednesday.
The thugs were reportedly arrested in the early hours of Wednesday around 3:00 am at Ita Awure/Efon Junction, Efon Alaaye in Ekiti State.
It was also gathered that the soldiers would take the suspects to Owens Barracks in Akure for further investigation.
The Public Relations Officer of the Brigade, Akin Omojokun, confirmed the arrest and said the Brigade would soon issue a statement on the development.
