How Soldiers Arrest Thugs Linked To Kogi APC Chieftain With Guns [PHOTOS]

In Kogi state, three youths have been arrested with firearms.

Two rifles and magazines were found in their possession.

The suspected political thugs were nabbed by soldiers in Ankpa local government area.

The soldiers reportedly stopped their vehicle for search after some persons who spotted them allegedly leave the residence of one Alhaji Isiaka Alfa raised alarm.

The thugs were moving in a branded vehicle allegedly belonging to Hon John Aduga Ejegbo.

Aduga is All Progressives Congress (APC) district leader in Anka.

He is currently seeking ticket to go to the Kogi House of Assembly in 2019.

Contacted on Sunday, Capt. Weri Finikumor, spokesman, Army Records Command in Lokoja, said he is not aware of the incident.

He explained that area of the interception is under the jurisdiction of the Nigerian Navy.

As at time of filing this report, spokesman of the Nigeria Navy could not be reached.

Call put across went unanswered and messages were not replied.

However, Kogi State Police Public Relation Officer ASP William Aya, told our reporter that the matter has not been reported to the command.
