Soldier who called out Governor Sanwo-Olu for arresting his colleague has also been arrested

The Chief Army Staff, COAS, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, has stated that the soldier who called out Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State for arresting his colleague has been apprehended.

Taoreed told reporters on Tuesday, January 9, that the soldier arrested for driving against traffic does not represent the entire Nigerian Army.

He went on to say that many viral videos showing soldiers criticizing the Lagos state governor were fake, and that only one authentic video was investigated, with the unidentified soldier involved apprehended.

The COAS also stated that the Army has taken steps to train soldiers on how to behave in the various locations where they are stationed.
