Sofyan Amrabat Is A Wanted Man

After the world cup display and marshaling Morocco’s midfield throughout the tournament, there was no way Sofyan Amrabat will be going out of the tournament without words being spoken of him or clubs making inquiries about the midfielder.

Liverpool who is famous to be on the lookout for midfielders this season was the first to be linked with the Moroccan and Fiorentina midfielder.

Now, Barcelona and Premier League teams like Chelsea are vying to recruit Sofyan Amrabat, who was named the best midfielder at the 2022 World Cup.

When he visited Morocco’s locker room following their semifinal loss to France, French President Emmanuel Macron named Sofyan Amrabat the greatest midfielder of the competition.

In order to persuade the Moroccan to tie his boots for them, teams like Chelsea, Liverpool, West Ham United, and Newcastle United are now in line.

Tottenham was mentioned in connection with the Fiorentina midfielder during the summer transfer window, but no deal was ever finalized.

According to Calciomercato, Barcelona wants to sign the Moroccan player to replace the ailing Sergio Busquets.

However, the report also stated that Fiorentina’s top aim is to use Amrabat’s contract extension option as soon as he returns to Florence following his World Cup participation.

In January 2020, Sofyan Amrabat made the switch to the Italian team. Since then, he has made 78 appearances for the team across all competitions, recording one goal.
