Slot: "A new foe for Arsenal?" -- Mikel Arteta doesn't think so

A new Sheriff arrived in the premier league not too long ago as Dutch manager, Arne Slot took the reins at Anfield, but for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, there is a lot to go down before anyone has to start being wary of the new guy.

In a recent interview, Mikel Arteta gave his honest opinion on what he thinks of the new Liverpool manager and how he really feels about Jurgen Klopp leaving the premier league for good.

Even Arsene Wenger feared Arteta” — Theo Walcott

According to the Spaniard, the chances of Arne Slot becoming a success in the league or at Liverpool is dependent on the Dutchman himself and how quickly he can adapt to the English league. Even though he is yet to rate Slot in the ranks of Jurgen Klopp and the other greats, Mikel Arteta had this to say:

“I don’t know. That’s a question for him and the people that have decided to come here. Obviously, it is a bit sad to see Jurgen leave because what he has brought to the league is something unprecedented with his charisma, his way of playing, and the moments he has created in this league,”

Jurgen Klopp’s era at Liverpool is nothing short of legendary. The charismatic German transformed the Reds, guiding them to a Premier League title and a Champions League triumph, among other accolades. His unexpected departure last season left a void not just at Liverpool but in the Premier League, where his dynamic presence and tactical prowess were highly influential.

Overall, Mikel Arteta did not fail to compliment his new rival, first with a welcome;

“Welcome to the Premier League. I think he is an exceptional coach.” the Spaniard said.
