Singer Slim Joe dies at 30 following kidney ailment
Nigerian recording artiste Joshua Olonitan, popularly known as Slim Joe has been reported dead.
It was recalled that the singer needed ₦15 million for kidney surgery, as he was down with the ailment.
The entertainer, who ruled the airwaves with ‘O ti Yanyan’ and many other hit songs and collaborations, was diagnosed with the kidney failure and had been on dialysis for some time.
He came to spotlight after his hit single, ‘oti yanyan’ ruled airwaves around 2009 to 2010. He had several collaborations with notable Nigerian artists like Clever J, Iyanya and more.
Slim Joe had many hit songs which comprise, Oti yayan, Mashomo, Show Your Logo, Biliwo, Packaging, Enemies, Jekanmo, Gegemu, Abanise, Tesojue.
The versatile entertainer, who hails from Odo-Ayedun in Ikole local government rea of Ekiti State, had called for the kind support of Nigerians to raise the required amount to stay alive.
Slim, however, died on Sunday. His colleague, Raymond Gbaji, confirmed his death on Sunday on his verified Facebook page.
