Singer Rema cries out over ASUU ongoing strike

Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema has lamented over the indefinite strike issued by the Academic body, ASUU.

TopNaija recalls that the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU went on a one-month warning strike on February 14, 2022, to demand good conditions of service the federal government agreed on since 2009 agreement.
However, the Academic body went indefinitely over the unmet promise from the government.
This act led to the shut down of Universities that fell under the union.
The musician, in a recent tweet, has lamented over the ongoing ASUU strike.
According to Rema, he had never started classes since he gained admission, no thanks to the ASUU strike.

TopNaija recalls that in early January 2022, Rema showed his excitement as he announced he would be going back to school to get a degree.
According to him, he gained admission into the University of Lagos (UNILAG) to study Creative Arts.
