Shocking!!! Policeman shot as gunmen kidnap Abuja residents

TopNaija reports that a policeman was shot on Tuesday morning, April 12 while trying to foil the abduction of some residents of Tungan-Maje community in Gwagwalada Area Council of Abuja.

It was gathered that the gunmen who first attacked residents of Anguwar Samu in Tungan-Maje, engaged both the police and some members of the vigilante in a shootout.

It was alleged that the gunmen who overpowered the security operatives in the gunfight that lasted over an hour whisked away two people, before reportedly proceeding to the New Poultry area of the council where they also abducted two residents.

Saidu said;

“The entire residents of Anguwar Samu were gripped with fear because of the gunshots but unfortunately, they succeeded in abducting two people.”

The police officer and a vigilante member who sustained injuries in the incident have been taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
