Shehu Sani congratulates winner of Kaduna PDP governorship primary

Former Senator, Shehu Sani who once stood under the APC flag as a senator of the Kaduna constituency, recently stood under the PDP umbrella as a gubernatorial candidate in its primaries but sadly lost out in the race to Honourable Isah Ashiru.

Responding to his defeat, the former Senator left on his Twitter page, a tweet in the early hours of Thursday, May 26, to congratulated Ashiru on his victory in the primaries.

The former Senator also took it out to share that the two delegates voted for him without collecting “a dime”, subtly shading politicians who buy votes in elections.

He wrote:

“The Kaduna PDP Governorship primaries has been concluded. I lost and Honourable Isah Ashiru won. I wish to congratulate him. Two Delegates voted for me without giving them a dime; unfortunately, I don’t know who they are, so that I can appreciate these clean votes. We look forward.”

Of course, defeat his a tough one to take, but going down while knowing there were those who stood behind you for genuine reasons absent the money or third party factor, is one to take as consolation and pride.
