Sheffield United vs. Liverpool: Confirmed Lineup

Liverpool resume Premier League hostilities away at the Bramall Lane to Sheffield United, in hopes of covering the gap between them and title rivals, Arsenal who currently sit top of the league table.

With the Gunners sitting 5 points over Liverpool and 6 over Manchester City following their 4-3 triumph versus Luton Town on Tuesday, the Reds will hope to build more steam in the title challenge by forcing out a victory at Bramall Lane and claiming all 3 points.

Easier said than done however as the infamous ground in recent years have proved quite troublesome for Liverpool on the road.

In their most famous title winning season in 2019/20, it took Liverpool a slim of luck to break down Sheffield United for them to claim all 3 points under Chris Wilder, and it was thanks to former Manchester United goalkeeper, Dean Henderson fluffing a save from Gini Wijnaldum’s volley.

Although the Reds managed to win the Blades at Bramall Lane in the 2020/21 season with a 0-2 score line, the historical head to head between both teams at the ground haven’t been quite positive for the Merseyside club.

That said, Sheffield United on their end, haven’t had the best of form this season, with the Blades sitting bottom of the league currently.

Can Liverpool afford to risk their title challenge and be charitable against Sheffield United, or will they show their ruthless side by doing the needful on a Wednesday night?

Liverpool go into the tie missing their number 1 goalie, Alisson Becker, their Centre Back, Joel Matip and forward, Diogo Jota.

Here goes the Confirmed Lineup for both sides;
