Shakira Moves on: Releases new single with Black Eyed Peas
The Pique-Shakira romance officially came to an end for the duo not quite long ago, but as things look dire for the Barcelona star, the Colombian singer seems to be doing just quite well on her on.
After releasing a single titled ‘Te Felicito’ with Rauw Alejandro, that became one of the most listened to songs in 2022 music chart, she has opted to collaborate for another single again.
But this time, she collaborates with popular band, ‘Black Eyed Peas’ and David Guetta on the song ‘Don’t You Worry’.
Black Eyed Peas who are famously known for their futuristic themes in their songs, didn’t compromise with this single either.
The music single featured in its video a futuristic setting depicting the Black Eyed Peas being abducted while Shakira comes in to hypnotize some alien looking characters with her dancing.
Obviously, her hips still don’t lie.
The song upon its premier on Friday 17th, received 7 million views and listens on YouTube, along with Spotify, Apple Music and many other music streaming platforms.
The video was filmed across multiple cities, specifically in Spain and the United States; Los Angeles and Barcelona in particular.
This marks the first collaboration between both the Black Eyed Peas and Shakira since 2020 after releasing the song ‘Girls Like Me’ to audience acclaim.
The single reached an average of 500 million views and won the gold certification from the RIAA.
They are also joined this time by David Guetta, one of the most recognized DJ’s in the world who years ago collaborated with the Black Eyed Peas band for the hit “I Gotta Feeling”, which was also a huge worldwide success.
With or without Gerard Pique, it seems the Colombian singer does just fine on her own.
