Senator Remi Tinubu under fire for calling woman ‘thug’ [VIDEO]

The Senator representing Lagos Central, Remi Tinubu, has come under fire for supposedly calling a woman a thug during the public hearing of the constitutional review on Wednesday.

It was gathered that Tinubu was involved in a dispute with some Nigerians who attended the occasion which took place at the Marriot Hotel in Lagos. Residents queued to register before they were allowed into the venue of the occasion.

Meanwhile, when the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, came in through the back door, the front door was shut and the registration closed.

Residents who were yet to register were stated to have remained in the queue, protesting their exclusion from the event.

Some Oyo State lawmakers, who passed the queue and were about to be escorted into the programme, were supposedly followed by some residents, causing turmoil.

Senator Tinubu was stated to have shown up at the back door to allow the lawmakers in.

However, a woman, who allegedly complained about being denied entry, was declared to have criticised the unfair treatment and voiced out her frustration.

The senator, after calling her and two others, allegedly called the woman a ‘thug’ for speaking too loud. The comment was stated to have caused an argument between Tinubu and those who heard her.

The statement made by the Senator infuriated those on the queue, who insisted that such offensive word shouldn’t have come from Tinubu.

The Senator was asked to apologise, but she refused.

“I will not apologise for what I said. I saw it and I said it,” the senator maintained.

So, very unfortunate! I just wish that Nigerians would not submit to the Govt of Satan.”

@theonly1acre wrote; “Tell me one time Remi Tinubu has ever been in the news for anything worthy? It’s either she’s fighting, blackmailing or threatening citizens. That’s Nigeria’s First Lady that never was. Agbero Senator, Fake Pastor. Gees!!!! Aunty, you are just as razz as you come.LEEMAO !!!”

@firstladyship said, “Patience Jonathan was compassionate. Even as she was being mocked, she remained A MOTHER. Aisha Buhari is selfish, but she is not a rascal. Remi Tinubu has not only shown her rascality many times, she has shown her bigotry as well. Remi is not fit for the office of a First Lady.”
