The Senate leader, Yahaya Abdullahi, has defected from the ruling All progressives Congress to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party in Kebbi State.

Yahaya Abubakar Abdullahi is a Nigerian politician and was an associate professor. He was born in Argungu, in the present Kebbi State of Nigeria. He is the Senator representing Kebbi North Senatorial District of Kebbi State at the 9th National Assembly.
