Sen. Lokpobiri meets key stakeholders to resolve Dangote refinery issues

Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Oil), convened a crucial meeting on Monday in Abuja with key stakeholders to address ongoing issues at the Dangote Refinery.

The meeting included prominent figures such as Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chairman and CEO of Dangote Group; Mr. Farouk Ahmed, Authority Chief Executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA); Mr. Gbenga Komolafe, Commission Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC); and Malam Mele Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

The discussion aimed to resolve critical operational challenges and ensure the refinery’s smooth functioning, which is vital for Nigeria’s oil sector. The stakeholders deliberated on various strategies to streamline operations and enhance the refinery’s efficiency.

Nneamaka Okafor, the Special Adviser to the minister on Media and Communications, released a statement confirming the details of the meeting and its objectives.

The meeting’s outcomes are expected to play a significant role in stabilizing the refinery’s operations and contributing to the overall development of Nigeria’s petroleum industry.
