PhoneographyLagos is a phone photography exhibition by phoneographers for photography lovers, the maiden edition held on November 10th 2018, at The Lagos Oriental Hotel themed #TheColoursOfLagos.

It showcased over 200+ works of art by 7 phoneographers. The Colours Of Lagos, celebrated Lagos in it glory and art depicting Lagos in it true self. With over 200 attendees, including notable art lovers, businessmen and women.

The Exhibition was able to raise a total fund of $160 to The Epilepsy Foundation of Nigeria being Registration proceeds from the event.

Founder by Seyi Aragbada, PhoneographyLagos aims at empowering an average African youth who has great love for capturing timeless moments. Over the years, there has been a stereotype attached to phone content, especially Phone pictures.

“People regard phone photographers as amateurs” says Seyi Aragbada, the creator of PhoneographyLagos, Creative Director at PurpleRagba Marketing and the Founder of Epilepsy Foundation of Nigeria, who is a smart phone based content creator herself.

PhoneographyLagos celebrates the art and it capturer, rather than the object used in capturing. Art is art, regardless of what is used in the creation process.
Across the globe, phone photography academies have been created/established, people are being paid to shoot/create content with their mobile devices, people make a living off this. We dream of a Nigeria where youths are being empowered and celebrated for their creativity.
