Earlier today August 26, 2021, a service of songs for veteran actress, Late Rachel Oniga, was held at the Service of Songs at the Catholic Church of Resurrection, Magodo, Lagos.

 

Rachel Oniga died on July 31 from heart-related issues. Her remains will be buried on August 27 at a cemetery yet to be disclosed by the family.

Originally from Eku, Delta State in Southern Nigeria, she was born on 23 May 1957 in Ebute Metta, Lagos State, Oniga began her acting career in 1993, shortly after her divorce. She worked briefly at Ascoline Nigeria Limited, a Dutch Consultant Company before her first movie titled Onome and her debut Yoruba movie was Owo Blow.
