In preparation for the 2023 general election, the Social Democratic Party, Ondo State has urged youths to massively contest.

The party insisted that this will enable youths to participate in the nation’s decision-making process.

SDP chairman for Ondo state, Stephen Adewale, stated this in Akure, in his speech on the state of the nation.

According to him, “Nigeria is what it is today because the youths have been side-lined and made to suffer economically and educationally by the older generation.

“I wish to encourage the youths at this moment to be partakers in decision-making process of our fatherland and paddlers of the nation’s canoe by getting involved in politics, given our strength and intellectual potential.”

The party’s secretary, Bola Aina, also revealed that the party’s readiness to give well-meaning Nigerian youths the opportunity to improve the country’s current state.

He said, “We are revalidating and recruiting new members for correct and adequate data records, which will, of course, make the party much more viable than previously”.
