Scott Mctominay Not Good Enough For Celtic — Paul Parker Rubbishes Star
Former Manchester United player Paul Parker has criticized midfielder Scott McTominay, saying that he should leave Old Trafford at the end of the summer transfer window as he is not even good enough to play for Scottish Premier League giants Celtic.
McTominay has struggled for regular game time since Erik ten Hag took over as manager at Manchester United last summer. This season, the 26-year-old has only amassed a total of 1,282 minutes of playing time across 30 appearances.
Speaking about McTominay’s future, Parker told Mybettingsites, “Scott McTominay has to move away from Manchester United in the summer. He wants to stay in the Premier League, but it is going to be tough for him to find a new club. He’s not good enough to play for a top side and the smaller clubs can’t pay his wages.”
Parker further suggested that a move to Scottish Premiership club Rangers could be a possibility for McTominay, as he would have a better chance of playing regularly with them. He added, “He’s not good enough to play for Celtic. There’s no way he would be able to play regularly for Celtic in the way they play.”
McTominay has been with Manchester United since joining the club’s academy in 2012. He has made 130 appearances for the club and has scored 13 goals. Despite his lack of regular game time, he has been praised for his performances in the middle of the park by some Manchester United fans.
