Sanwo-Olu, deputy, service chiefs, others receive COVID-19 vaccine [VIDEO]

Top Naija reported earlier that the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr Kadri Hamzat have received the AstraZeneca Covid vaccines.

Others who also received the vaccination include members of the State Security Council, consisting of the Service Chiefs in Lagos and some members of the State Executive Council, administered at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) Yaba.

Sanwo-Olu was the second person to receive the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine after the state Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi at about 3.28 pm.

Speaking to the press after receiving his first jab, the Governor urged citizens to get inoculated adding that it is a safe and non-painful exercise.

Recollect that the Lagos State received doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines from the Federal Government.

Several frontline medical personnel at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) also received their own first dose of the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine.
