Sanwo-Olu appoints Basirat Damilola Marshall for tourism

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed Basirat Damilola Marshall, the daughter of famed Fuji vocalist King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, as Senior Special Assistant on Tourism.

Basirat Damilola Marshall, renowned for her legal representation of Naira Marley, joined the Lagos government in crucial roles.

The confirmation of Basirat’s appointment came through a recent post on her Instagram page, where she shared a circular announcing her new role with the state government.

The appointment of Basirat Marshall, who is also known as Barry, adds another dimension to the family’s involvement in public service and the arts.

KWAM1, as the Fuji icon is fondly called, is known for his loyalty to Nigeria’s political figures, particularly to Nigeria’s former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu.

However, in a recent turn of events, KWAM1 expressed concerns about the economic challenges faced by Nigerians under Tinubu’s government.

During a live performance, KWAM1 expressed concern over the current state of affairs in Nigeria. He highlighted the hopes pinned on leaders like Tinubu to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians but lamented the ongoing hardships faced by citizens.

KWAM1 urged Tinubu to address the challenges facing the country and not be swayed by deception, emphasizing the importance of listening to the cries of the people and implementing lasting solutions.
