Samuel Eto'o helps Former Teammate stay alive

Former Cameroon international, Serge Branco Namekong suffered an undisclosed illness that required surgery in order to stay alive, and it ended up being Samuel Eto’o coming to his aid.

The former Barcelona player and Cameroon legend showed up to assist his ex-teammate in footing the necessary bills to stay alive as the surgery was conducted.

Samuel Eto’o currently serves as the President of the Cameroon Football Federation and saw it as part of his duty to help his compatriot in his road to recovery.

Bothe Eto’o and Branco both were given the honors of representing the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in their prime years, which didn’t come as a surprise as the Barcelona legend comes in to be the hero.

Serge Branco’s surgery eventually became quite the success and the FECAFOOT president was there to give him the support he needed.

Eto’o was able to show up at the Central Hospital of Yaounde where the surgery took place to cover the expenses and pay him a get well visit.

Serge Branco Namekong in his prime played for several sides in England and Germany like Stuggart, Queens Park Rangers, Leeds United and Frankfurt.

Eto’o on the other hand now serves in a big role as leading FECAFOOT to prepare Cameroon for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
