Sam Bankman-Fried Arrested In Bahamas

 

Sam Bankman-Fried, the former boss of the collapsed crypto exchange platform, FTX, has been arrested on Monday in Bahamas based on a sealed indictment filed by the SDNY.

 

According to reports, Bankman-Fried was arrested by the police as requested by American authorities.

 

Confirming the arrest, the United States of America attorney for Southern District of New York, Damian Williams, in a tweet on Tuesday said, “Earlier this evening, Bahamian authorities arrested Samuel Bankman-Fried at the request of the U.S. Government, based on a sealed indictment filed by the SDNY. We expect to move to unseal the indictment in the morning and will have more to say at that time.”
