Salomon Rondon apologizes to Evertonians as Everton battle Relegation

Everton somewhat started the season quite well under former Liverpool boss, Rafa Benitez, only to have its season take a downward spiral as injury crisis plagued the team and results began taking an inverse turn for the club.

The board looking to turn things around for the better, brought in former Chelsea boss and Legend, Frank Lampard to steady the ship.

Things though, have remained rather the same for the club. Everton are now dependent on their relegation rivals dropping points in their next games to avoid dropping to the relegation spot.

Salomon Rondon, one of Everton’s players in reaction to Sunday’s game against Brentford has penned an emotional message to fans after his role in Everton’s defeat as he received a red card that cost the team the needed result to be safe from relegation.

The Toffees played with nine men in the game as Jarrad Branthwaite and Salomon Rondon were given marching orders in the 18th and 88th minutes respectively at Goodison Park.

The Venezuelan came off, as the team needed an equalizer as the striker was forced to leave the pitch with a red card.

After the game, Rondon left on his Instagram an apology that read:

“I always give my all on the pitch. I always want to help my club, teammates and fans. I tried to do that today and know that I wasn’t up to it in one incident and I’m truly sorry. My apologies from the bottom of my heart to the whole Everton family.”

Two points separates Everton from the drop to the relegation zone as things stand.
